The removal of all LVR restrictions is going to be a massive change in the property market mainly for the first home buyers. This is actually a good thing for investors too.

In this quick video I explain why.

Investor Mistakes: Negative Cashflow Property Investments

Here's a radical thought: An Investment should pay US, not us pay IT

Stuff-It-Up Strategy

When you think about investing, do you get really excited at the thought that you can LOSE money every week?

Well, you are not alone. People have been doing this for years in New Zealand and thinking it’s a great idea.

They purchase a property and the rent does not cover the costs of owning it.

“Which costs?” you ask. Good question. Things like: Mortgage interest and principle repayments, Land rates, Water rates (in some cases), Body Corporate fees, Insurance, Property Management fees, and maintenance to name the most common ones.

An example of this type of property would be:

Purchase price: $700,000

Rent per annum: $30,000 ($600 per week x 50 weeks, allowing for two...

Scared Yet?

Scared Yet?

Most Kiwi's will struggle every day in retirement.

Struggle. After working all of your life, you have to 'cut back', count your dollars, and struggle. That is insane. Backwards. Broken.

Investing isn't a hobby or something to 'do on the side'.

It is a matter of personal security. It's serious. And most people are in denial and apathy about the consequences if they don't invest for their future.

It scares us how many people don't get it. It should scare you too.

If you want to hear from people who invest successfully and have their financial future (and their future generations') secured through sound long-term strategies, and who are very happy to show you how to do the same, get in touch with the Assetlab team. We will help you get started or keep going the right way.

7.1% Gross Yield and $80,000 instant equity in Auckland

7.1% Gross Yield and $80,000 instant equity in Auckland!

This property was bought by one of our clients as a long-term rental property.

Here's a video with the details.

It is a Home & Income (Yes, it is BOTH of the houses you see beside each other!) in a reasonable area of South Auckland.

This property has a 7.1% gross yield and 6.2% net yield. This means it is positive cashflow and pays our client to own it!

Oh, and he also created $80,000 of instant equity in the purchase as well.

This was bought last year and is one of the best yields we have seen recently. These are NOT easy to find, but they are out there, and in this current market the strategy is to CREATE the yield.

That is property investment done right!

These deals are out there. It is just a matter of know what to looks for, how to look for them, and where to focus.

If you want to learn how we can help you, get in touch!

Investor Mistakes: Too Big, Too soon

Investor Mistakes: Too Big, Too soon

Property Investment isn’t always going to be ‘plain sailing’. It is hard work and it takes time particularly with a long term buy and hold strategy. And therein lay the problem. To me it was all about instant gratification. Patience was not one of my strong points and I felt there has got to be a faster way to financial freedom.

Let me share with you the “deal of the century”. The year was 2003 and I was only two years into my property investment journey. Because I had bought a few properties, I was starting to think I was 10 foot tall and bulletproof. The timing was perfect for an agent I knew well to say to me;

“Arn, I’ve got the deal of the century for...
